We were pleased to take part in the workshop “Recharging Regional Aviation – Electric & Hydrogen Opportunities for Europe’s Airlines”, organised by the Alliance for Zero-Emission Aviation (AZEA) and supported by the European Regions Airline Association and the Horizon Europe project AREANA.

The event, held on 25 November in Brussels and online, sparked highly interesting and insightful discussions on the future of regional aviation, with a strong focus on electric and hydrogen-powered solutions.

During the workshop, PRIAM, the SESAR Joint Undertaking EU-funded project on Planning Regional-Scale Multimodal Operations for Innovative Air Mobility (IAM), was presented. David Mocholí González from Nommon shared valuable insights on data-driven forecasts for regional connectivity, passenger demand, and the integration of air mobility into multimodal transport networks—supporting Europe’s transition toward a more sustainable and digitally connected aviation ecosystem.

The presentation slides from the session can be viewed here.
